Unable to Create Online Game

Hi there, I just purchased the game this evening and I am unable to create a game. I am playing through Steam and was able to create a character but when I attempt to play, it tries to create a game but then provides the error "Your game could not be created, please try again later".

I've tried changing my location a few times. Canada (which is where I am), Americas, Us East (Ohio). No success.

Hoping you can help me out. Thanks!

Hi Ericbayer!

We do not seem to have any problems regarding our US/Canada servers.
Could you please check if your firewall is, by any chance, blocking something ? (You can try to deactivate it, then try to go online)

HI Yuzu,

Thanks for the reply. I've checked my Windows Defender Firewall and Wolcen is allowed access. I've never had this issue before with games from Steam or otherwise.

Any other thoughts? I just tried again and still am not able to start an online game.

Hi Yuzu,

I tried again this evening and got it to work. I should have done these one at a time to know for sure which one fixed it.

  • Verifying game data in Steam
  • Running Steam as Administrator
  • Changing the server from Auto to US East (Ohio)

I tried with it on Auto at first but no success until I changed the server.
