As you may have noticed Wolcen Studio has been working hard for the past year and a half, releasing as much content as we could despite our team being very small in size. We’ve transformed the game landscape and added so many new mechanics and improvements because like our community, we want the game to be up to the high standards set by famous games of the Hack and Slash genre.
This has resulted in patches being sometimes released every two weeks, and some of these patches not being as polished as we wanted them to.
This is why we’ve decided to update our patching schedule to once every month or more, so we can release polished and feature-rich updates to you guys. This is not a strict schedule, and the update being fully ready will have priority above schedule. Experience proved to us that taking more time to work on a patch leads to less issues and better player satisfaction in the long run. I’d like to emphasize that this does not mean development on the game will slow down, but on the contrary as less time will be spent working on hotfixes for bugs added by a patch.
We can’t wait for you guys to test out update 0.5.0.3, which will include a new arena mode and new armor mechanics for both the player and monsters. We will release a devblog article explaining these new mechanics before the patch rolls out.
