Hello Calistaen,

First off, thank you for all you do and the help you have already given. I really love Wolcen as a game but I do have one concern that I would like to be addressed. If I understand correctly, we are unable to use our legacy characters in the expansion due to economy changes. That being said, I am the type of player who only likes to make one character and essentially "forever" build/play that one character. I hate making new characters and alts etc, It's actually the reason I quit playing Diablo III. I hated that in order to get seasonal rewards you had to create new characters so I quit playing it years ago and have never looked back.

What I'm getting at is this: Are we going to have to create new characters in the future - or is this a one time thing? If I start over and completely scrap the ~150 hours I've spent on this game, I need to know that I will never have to do it again. That I can create one final character and have the ability to use that character in all expansions moving forward- and hopefully a new game + feature where you can start the game over using the same character.

I don't mean to be nitpicky, this is just the kind of player I am. This issue is pretty much make or break for me. Again, thank you and the Wolcen team for all you have done up to this point. God Bless you and yours and have a Merry Christmas!

Hello,

@Prince Justin, I am just like you ... and I would love for devs (of all games) to acknowledge that there are many more players who feel this way.

Personnaly I hated when D2 introduced ladders... I loved how it took me 2 years to make a "perfect" HC MF sorceress...

D3 had good gameplay animations, but other than that, Jay Wilson (Original Game director) completely destroyed the game... if only Ladders was the biggest problem...

Coming to Wolcen, it has the best current graphics but the Dev team needs to get their priorities straight:

1) Communicate a lot more on your plans before you implement. This way you will be able to receive invaluable community feedback before it's too late to change. You seem to value the "surprise" of your original ideas above getting and listening to feedback --> WRONG

2) Don't rush patches out the door that you haven't debugged... Comon, you can't tell me you didn't see the large white rectangles when clicking on the TAB ? You already have the money. Take the time to QA your patches before release

3) STOP adding new content and fixing Lore and adding new Cinematics, this is just WRONG
--> Spend your ressources where it matters:

a) fix the bugs
b) Add lots of "game-changing" unique items and make them end-game viable --> stop thinking that Red items need to be above Unique items --> It's just so frustrating to drop a unique item and discover that it's totally useless (and I'm being polite)
c) Work on balancing the builds... I'm under the impression that Havoc Orb & Artic Spear is currently way above the rest
d) communicate on all this 1x per week

I've got to echo the sentiments here. I'm a one player kinda guy. Can you not allow the legacy to continue onward to high and better adventures? I'm not a marketing guy, but this would build brand loyalty.

Thanks!

I consider myself fortunate as I did not pick this game up until this past week (so 1.1.0.8 is all I know). I have enjoyed 30 years of aRPGs with some of my personal faves being Diablo 2, Dungeon Siege 2 and Grim Dawn (like the classic aRPGs that are not so "item centric").

Rhykker was right, absolutely the most beautiful looking aRPG ever made. Not my first CRYENGINE title and this one doesn't disappoint for this genre.

15 hours in, level 25 character (working on an Arctic Spear build). An IP that looks like it got it's legs from a kickstarter project. Looks like a small group not shackled by terms generally set by the big "money bag" publisher that reels in the creative freedom of a young development team in lieu of a shareholder return.

This game is not without bugs, I have only experienced one (and it was not game breaking). Looks like the fine folks at Wolcen just need some clear and concise Bug Reports articulating gamplay issues. Evidence based on hotfixes since the Chronicles launch would suggest they are more than willing to do what they can to continue to improve the quality of this title.
