Hello, I just logged on and it appears that the chest that I got from the final quest, a legendary chest armour was deleted after the update, is there anything that can be done?

Same here, all legendary items on the char dissepeared and all gems in slots.

It's a bug that we will fix in the next hotfix. Unfortunately you won't have the item back, but players who didn't connect their characters will be able to keep it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
