Game Crash when killing Edric, Phase 1 [Uptdated]

Hello,

the problem is pretty much what I stated in the title - when I kill Edric's first phase with Annihilation, the Game crashes back to the desktop. Killed him once with Burning Embers without a crash, but since then I had three crashes on three tries.
Anybody seen a similar problem?

Update: When I just wear him down with Annihilation and finish him with my regular attack, no crash occurs.**

you think it might be the spell annihilation? I only use that move for my mage I know I'm a noob but it's fun spamming it I'll give it a try.
edit: yes I believe it's annihilation that's crashes it.

Same thing here. Annihilation seems to be the problem, however, the last time I fought Edric, I stopped using the spell near his death to finish him off with an other spell (ToE) but the game still crashed.
