Patch 1.0.6.0:
Every source of knockback dealt to me by the enemies, caused 2 knockbacks. This doubled the cc duration and moved me a screen and a half away from the enemies.

it's that node that delays the damage, where you take 40% on the initial hit and the rest a second after. Don't think it's intended but I'm pretty sure that one's responsible.
