Falling Off Map and Getting Stuck Bugs (can't complete missions)

Thanks for the continued patches and ironing everything out. Getting things up to and maintaining high quality updates is hard work (something I do for a living myself!).

I would like draw your attention to two bugs which have the same end result for players at the moment that I find create a frustrating player experience. They could very well be the same bug in that they may have the same root cause (i.e. an ability for players and characters to move off the playable map area) but they will likely be reported as different bugs due to how they manifest as a player experience.

Players Stuck Somewhere (On/Off Playable Map)

This bug is most easily triggered using the Light Bringer skill or the Slayer's Fury skill with the Cosmic Ambush upgrade (that causes a player to teleport behind the targeted mob). It can also occur when a mob moves the player using a skill or spell effect (a spell or skill that pushes or pulls the player away from/towards the mob).

Players/Monsters Fall Off Playable Map

This bug can occur when walking into areas that should have collision but instead allow the player to clip through the edge of the playable map area. It also seems to occasionally happen when a player "loads into" an environment (suggesting a possible race condition between the player loading into the map area and the map area spawning collision/terrain edges).

This bug can also be triggered using the Light Bringer skill or the Slayer's Fury skill with the Cosmic Ambush upgrade (that causes a player to teleport behind the targeted mob). It can also occur when a mob moves the player using a skill or spell effect (a spell or skill that pushes or pulls the player away from/towards the mob).

Reproduction Steps

  1. Upgrade Slayer's Fury with Cosmic Ambush
  2. Continue targeting mobs that are near the edge of the playable map area, trying to position yourself so that you land behind the targeted mob on the very edge of the map.

OR

  1. Using Light Bringer, target an area that is off the playable map area and off screen
  2. Continue targeting different off area sections of the map, attempting to jump off the playable map area

OR

  1. Load into a cave or new mission environment
  2. Immediately start trying to move your character and cast movement/teleport skills before the game has finished loading (i.e. while the game still stutters a little)

Fallout and Workaround

In my opinion, bugs should be prioritized not only based on how often they occur (and how many players are affected) but also on what the workaround and fallout of the bug is. I'd estimate this occurs once every 10 mandate/expeditions for my late game character.

Unfortunately one of the only ways for players to workaround this bug is to exit back to the main menu which means:
- late game players lose/forfit any mission they are on, which they may have just spent 10,000 gold and 1000 respec currency on
- campaign game players will lose any progress they've made and have to start again at the last waypoint

Players that have teleport skills are sometimes able to get back onto the playable map area, but if a quest related mob falls off the edge there is often no way to target and kill that mob anymore, again forcing the player to forfit any rewards and the mission.

For these reasons I would argue that while this bug is hard to reliably reproduce, it should have a high fix priority, given the massive potential fallout and lack of any decent workaround.

Similar kind of bug for me where I was pulled in by a mob that was off the map and ended up in the lower level scenery.

Thankfully I could just use TP and re-enter as a fix.
