This is an interesting finish to your discussion with Heimlock on the cliffs. You are immediately teleported to the palace on the farmlands side (just outside Stormfall, not on a way point). Is this where you really want to drop in the spawn? There is no quest node to just turn around and go back into the city. It is not until you do that, that you get a quest node at the oppsite end leading you to Demaskus.
If you were not paying much attention at Heimlock, or decided you may want to take a quick stroll (zerg) and find yourself way out in the farmlands (we are talking post conversation with Heimlock and being teleported) you will find that; 1) you cannot create a town portal, and 2) no waypoints work.
