After talking to the merchant prince I was given the "quest" to leave the throne room, upon exiting was given a error popup and after clicking OK the next quest I'm given is @ui_A1_Q5_S12_StepNameLabel. Game is now broken and cannot continue with any storyline?

It's the end of Act 1. A new game mode has unlocked. If you want to keep playing before release, you will need to change the game mode. :)
