You are at least the third person posting this problem in the last day, but the only one who managed to get stuck with a golden scarab on the map. OUCH!

Out of curiosity, were you in message board mode? (Sorry I can't read the characters, but it doesn't look like it was an expedition since I don't see a spot where it lists level.) I ask because from my experiences, this problem only occurs for message board maps.
