Connection Issues: Updated info

We have a ton of information on this, I wanted to point out what we ran into.

When the servers went down and were in the process of coming back up, I was able to log in.
When I first logged in, my character was indeed missing and it said "Create new character" at the bottom.
I logged out, gave it a hot minute and logged back in.
When I logged in, Everything looked exactly the same, no avatar, however..
The play button was available and at the bottom, even though it looked the same, actually reading the button it said "Select Character"
Once I hit "Select Character". picked my dude, it showed up like normal.
I was then able to join a party, however the servers went back down before I actually hit play again.

Anyways, I wanted to deliver this information to anyone who wants to read it.

No. I'm still waiting for it. Sad I have to be awake for the full night to change my sleep rhythm. I hope they will be up soon :/

Hoping for any kind of official ETA on when they are gonna come up. I'd love to continue the character i was working on last night.

Yes. an estimated time would be great... But Enzo99 is probably right that their team also doesn't know it.
At least they could say something. I mean they wrote "We will keep you updated about their status". There still is no update :(

That's where the part of my quote came from. But that's 3 hours old.
But that's probably the disadvantage of playing new games. You have to expect downtimes like that :(

It's good that the staff finally replied to one of the threads in this forum, even though it's not one related to the high temp CPU and GPU. :))

I am having the same issue. Game freezes/locks up computer, can't alt-tab or anything, then goes back to character screen saying disconnected from server. Can't get past the very beginning of Chapter 1, game is unplayable, Literally.

Update,
I joined a friends game and am able to play now, but the game still locks up at random intervals during gameplay. While watching the resource monitor I notice that my FX-8350 usage for the game goes from 35% down to 17%, Game Process shows "Not Responding", Disk Usage on the SSD that it's installed to goes to 100%, this lasts for 10 seconds, then the game unfreezes and continues on. This is after reducing graphics to Medium instead of Ultra, and running in Windowed mode. Will try to update as I make changes in Settings to figure out the issue.

Update,
I have been playing the game in full screen, max graphics, and still having lockup issues. I did make it to the end of the story line, with friends help. Can't complete a dungeon without a friends help. Game locks up for almost 1 minute, CPU usage goes down, SSD usage goes to 100%, and sometimes the game just disconnects from the game but not from the friends group, so I can jump back into the same game. So far with new patches, I haven't seen any changes to my gameplay.
