Same issue with me. I haven't been able to log in for the last 8 hours.

Servers won't be back up til 5pm, UTC. If you don't have twitter you wouldnt know cos who needs forums to communicate with players anyways. Just post it on FB or twitter.

also, played the game yesterday, game was 100% fine albeit not being able to go on online mode. playing the game today, still can't go online mode, BUT THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE. I'm running at 34fps at best whereas I was getting a constant 60 yesterday.
