The good news thread
So I'll be the first to admit that I had a strong issue with this game when I first bought it, not being able to pass through "scenario doorways," that started cutscenes, so I sunk about 40 hours into trying every setting on my computer and the game to make it possible, and nothing worked.
I played for a solid 4 hours yesterday and outside of the usual online hiccups I have since I basically play in a cave away from my router, the game ran perfectly. I didn't change a thing, just started my computer like normal, ran a few other steam games (Monster Hunter and ARK) and then decided to give Wolcen another try just to check how it was working. Partial bad choice on my part, since I stayed up later and therefore I'm exhausted at class today, but I couldn't help but dive right back into this game once it started performing well.
Now this isn't a cry that the game is perfect, I still believe that is a ways away from being true, but I'm a firm believer in giving credit and positive affirmation when progress is made. Something has changed, something has improved, and that's a good sign. As such, I want to post something positive, a way to show the community that hope isn't lost or wasted, things are improving, and that's something that should be made public. It won't be instant, and it won't be perfect for everyone, but seeing only the bad makes people question if the good even exists, so I want to make sure the positive is visible and heard, as well as the issues and progress that still needs to be made.
