Hi devs.

Good job so far. Its a refreshing entry to a genre that i personally, enjoy and have done so since the early Diablo II days. Which is probably why I cant help myself from drawing parallels between the two. That has led me to making this thread. I will do this as short as possible.

Suggestions:

  • Make items identifiable, I find joy in trading unidentified just as much as identified ones. Gives a new layer of chance for both buyer and seller, at least to me it does.

  • Whenever an item drops on the ground, I think it should have audio attached to it that would let the player know whats been dropped, like if lets say a heavy armor drops, it would sound like a heavy armor being thrown on the ground, and not just some universal sound for all items. I believe this could add something in the end.

  • One thing that Diablo II did very wisely in its day I think, is to make items different sizes in your inventory. Hear me out :) the current great sword in the game, first of I could not tell that it was a great sword until I read it on the item description itself. If you found a large(r) items in Diablo II, you could tell what it was because it took more inventory space than other items, and the image of it, well it looked like what it was supposed to be looking like. And did not just show the tip of the item when stashed.

To finish this off, I realize this is not huge groundbreaking changes, but sometimes some familiarity is good for the player.
Keep up the good work, I am looking forward to play the next part of the road map and of course the final release.

I disagree with the following:

I don't like to identify every item I find on the ground, is an unnecessary layer of time spent.

I also don't like the fact that in Diablo 2 certain items took more inventory space, it was stupid in my opinion. The inventory was already too small for my tastes. Wolcen Inventory is good like this.

I agree with the sounds in the items, it would be of great help, I believe it would help the sound even more in the skills, being ready to be used again (would help me incredibly).

About the space in the inventory, I agree with Elsarin ... the space is not enough, you can fill the bag very fast, then I also prefer the way it is ... But I also think it would be nice to change to better identify the swords with two hands.

Maybe a happy medium with the item ID thing: Just make rare items identifiable and not everything single one?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course. However, the inventory in LOM here, is quite larger than that of D2. Perhaps it could become ''full size'' if the player clicked on it ((Like if you wanted to move it somewhere))? that could maybe work. I feel that with the beautiful art of the game, it could be awesome this way. Especially when the game has a few months on it after release, when players get a chance to appreciate the game for us it is. Maybe I am wrong all together idk :)
