I would like to be able to take a gem from an item all by myself (and without cost) and to pay for changing the type/number of sockets on an item.

I think this change could make the game less gear-driven (one gear for all uses), and more strategic by changing the gems on items depending on the circumstances (like changing which skills you want to bind to the keyboard)
