Summons Skill Nodes Not Working

Greetings, While testing out the summons spells (Liver Mortis, Hunting Swarm, Feeding Swarm, the only skill modifiers that seem to work are the skill modifiers that either change the damage type (Frost, Lightening, Shadow, etc), and the number of summons, as well as the skill modifier in Hunting Swarm named Cataract that increases the rate of attack on the summons. The other skill modifiers that affect health, damage, and movement speed do not work for all of the summons spells (Liver Mortis, Hunting Swarm, and Feeding Swarm).

Additionally, the Gates of Fate skill nodes in the Plaguebringer section that affect summons spells health, attack speed, and damage do not work.

If you folks would add these to your known problem list and fix them that would be awesome for us summons players.

The whole summon thing in this game is trash right now. Bugs.. very under performing, very bad pet AI, etc. Not enough passive nodes to improve them. Pets lacking aoe damage.

I'm currently working on a summoner build and at level 125+ expeditions, they start to take too long to kill monsters. I'm working on optimizing it but we don't have much choice, considering that very few nodes or gear enhancements affects summons.

I'm wondering how you noticed that these modifiers or nodes aren't working. We don't have any accurate information about health or damage, we can't see the numbers. So how can you say it's not working? We don't even have a clue about how much health, damage, or speed each modifier adds... I'm desperately looking for more information about all these numbers and what can work on summons or not.

I have noticed the HP skill nodes in the spells not working by simply observing the details panel on the right hand side, it will display the hp of the minions. The hp only changes with the elemental type of damage changing their base type, the other nodes do not change this displayed number. I have further tested this by only using summons on the same level of enemies and observing their performance. I have used this observation method for the attack damage, the attack speed, the movement speed, none of these skill nodes work, and neither do the wheel of fates passives.

As noted with the previous poster, the summons will not attack enemies right in front of them, they wont move, they wont path correctly. Summons currently do not work, which is really unfortuante.

Additionally, the Toxic Emanation passive skill does not seem to work consistantly either, the skill states that enemies within 7 meters will recieve a poison stack every 2 seconds, i have tested this skill with 1k plus wisdom, and with base gear wisdom, and it is inconsistant in its application to enemies. Further, there is nothing in any description that states how to boost this damage. I have tried gems that give both + poison to spells and + poison to attacks, + material damage gems, and the same with gear, and nothing seems to boost this damage, there is nothing that gives us an accurate assessment of where the base damage of this perk is derived from.

I have found another bug with regards to summons and items. The Unique sorcerer pants Veiled Eclipse states that shadow bases spells use rage instead of will power, and allows the bearer to cast shadow spells. Changing the summons spell Hunting Swarm to the spell modifier Armies of the Night DOES work, allowing hunting swarm to be cast without a staff or catalyst. However, when i tried to change the Liver Mortis spell modifier to Ravenous Reach, i was not able to cast this spell. The Feeding swarm spell has no spell modifiers to change their aspect to shadow, so i was unable to test that.

it applies standard dmg from your aliment stack dmg, u cant increase it, only way to do this is to have %increased poision aliment dmg

In regards to the Hunting Swarm spell modifier Armies of the Night, it states: "Converts summons' base Physical damage into Shadow damage".
In regards to the Liver Mortis spell modifier Ravenous Reach: "Converts summons' base Toxic damage to Shadow damage".

So it appears that there is something broken if one spell modifier is working with the unique item, and the other is not. I have tested these pants with Winters Grasp spell modifier Concentrated Shadow, which states: "Converts base Frost damage to Shadow damage", and this does indeed work with the unique item. So the Liver Mortis spell modifier is indeed broken.

but hunting swarm deal dmg directly? im not using it but i think it is. This pants will work if ur speel has shadow dmg value on the skill cart, thats the difference

Ok i tested this skills you mentioned

so for livor motis the crutial is that it converts base toxic damage to shadow, but he also becomes a melee warrior so i assume he also has a physical damage in addition to shadow, and physical dmg in this rune is bigger than the shadow, so wolcen's algorithm doeasnt count it as a shadow skill

and with hunting swarm it converts base physical into shadow, so i assume this archer deals only shadow dmg or shadow dmg is the most dmg dealer in this rune

that is most probable scenario how algorithm categorise it, but its based pure on my game experience and not devs claims

Well, i also have the passive node that allows me to inflict two ailments, however i have no idea if that plays a part. Its just plainly weird that this item will work on one summons but not another. I also tested this with the 2handed sword that lets you cast lightening skills to see if i could cast the mage liver mortis spell modifier, as that should just be lightening damage, and again the skill would not work with that item. So it "seems" that the Liver Mortis is broken in regard to being used with items other than a staff or catylist.

and ur two aliments not matter, ive tested it without any equ on myself and with zero passive skills so its definetly something with the skill, or second damage builded in the spell that deals more dmg than toxic or just a bug
