Why So Many Boss Abilities?

I don't care about ones like sacred imbued (can't remember if that's right word) or elemental shield or occult shield or regeneration or unstoppable, those are all fine. What I don't get is why the hell a boss can spawn with Dome Shield forcing ranged classes into melee, with (depending on size of boss) a very small radius you can move in to still damage him. Or, why can a boss spawn with 2-3 different aoe field effects, not including that creature's innate aoes. I fought a Demon of Souls that had (can't recall specific names of abilities) the roaming tremors, which knock you back if you touch them, and the roaming spirit orbs that both do a decent amount of damage if you touch them both of these had about 4-5 of them around the field. Also has its own spinning cyclone of orbs that collapse in on itself as an innate ability that freeze you if you touch them and I have to deal with all of that in a super enclosed necropolis corridor, oh and to add on top of that it spawned a bunch of Elder class Soul Spawns that I had to deal with.

Hmmm bad luck buddy, but I understand how you fell. My mage has its own problems too.
