Why nerf the unique rarity upgrade?

Question is in the title...
Why nerf the only thing fun about finding uniques, at a point in the game where so many other important things are broken? I feel like you took the patch opportunity to eliminate anything that made the end game interesting. Who cares if it is overpowered? Seriously? Just add season ladder at some point when the game is more balanced and QoL issues are closer to being solved so you can just reset and start over. At this point, that was the only thing keeping me playing. The idea that I could find an item with a cool unique quality and upgrade it's rarity to potentially get something useful was fun, and there was no guarantee those six extra stats would even provide an upgrade in the first place. I've got a couple of bank tabs full of legendary garbage to prove it...

Sorting through a thousand rare items to find something useful, yet still boring, is not fun...

Your extremely repetitive end game, without proper rewards, is not fun...

Developers have been doing this genre right for years now, and you've managed to innovate in some interesting ways, but you're so far off on the reward loop.

This is all, of course, my opinion/rant and others are free to feel how they want. Please do something with your end game :/

the items/rewards are very underwhelming. The uniques themselves are, imho, a slap in the face late game. At least with the conversion I felt the wow factor, not so much with the actual uniques themselves. It's my belief the "re-roll" ingredients/drops need to fall more frequent since, for now, crafting our own gear is the way to go.
