Static Transferral breaks when basic attack teleports

I'm having trouble with the Static Transferral passive node. For reference here it is:

> Static Transferral
>
> 6% Damage per “Overload” Point. Basic Attacks generate 1 “Overload” Point up to a maximum of 6. Using a Skill consumes all “Overload” Points but doubles Damage of the Skill

I want to use the double-damage portion on my big damage skill, and weave in basic attacks to charge it. But my problem is that the little "teleport" that happens when you use a basic attack on an enemy out of range apparently counts as "Using a Skill" and consumes all the charges. So my character wastes all his overload points using this little single target teleport + basic attack.

I'd much prefer not to teleport at all if it's gonna waste the points. But AFAICT there's no option to disable the teleport attack on left click or force a basic attack in any way. So I have to be super careful not to click enemies while outside of melee range or risk screwing up the combo.

I feel like it's not sensible that the teleporting basic attack counts as a skill use in the first place. Especially when there's no easy way to work around this and the net result is that your charges get consumed haphazardly even while only using the basic attack function. Is there any chance this can be changed so that basic attack always adds stacks, not consumes them, even when teleporting? Or failing that, an option to disable teleporting so as not to screw up Static Transferral?

Ahh, nvm, I found a workaround. Apparently there was already a way to turn off Autodash I just hadn't found it (I looked all over settings but not at the skill bar).

My bad. I still think Autodash shouldn't use up Overload, but this isn't as big a problem as I thought.
