Wintry Hail

This node actually has some potential... except it's pretty much rendered dead by: "BASIC attack projectiles...."

Honestly, by the time a character has progressed to the outer ring of passives they're not going to be using basic attacks any more. This node should change the characteristics of projectiles skills as a whole, not just (unused) basic attacks.


Pierce projectiles should chain after all pierce stacks have been expended. At higher levels pierce skills with this node should gain shatter which split upon contact with the first enemy and repeat the skill 2 additional time striking nearby targets for slightly less damage.

Skills that explode vs. the fist foe encountered should gain shrapnel which throws a small number of lower damage projectiles at foes within 10m that act identical to the skill itself.

Nodes that add pierce should reduce the number of chaining projectiles and nodes which expand area of effect should add further chain projectiles rather than increases area of projectile skills.
