Changes I'd love to see

I don't know if these concerns have been addressed yet but these are all the changes I'd love to see implemented in Wolcen.

User Interface:

  • When you open your inventory and the attributes menu at the same time, items you inspect or compare are hidden behind the attributes window. I would like to compare items and see both descriptions overlap the attributes window. (This brings me to my next point)

  • The HUD seems a little big and although there is an option to scale the health and abilities portion of the HUD down, that option does not extent to the other windows. Scaling the HUD down or just tying it into the HUD scale setting would give room to compare items on screen.

(Attributes Menu)

  • Resource stats added to the combat section. (Useful stats which I think should take precedence in the menu instead of scrolling down to see them every time)

  • Spell average DMG, ATK speed, Crit Chance and Crit DMG added to the combat section.

Controls:

  • Ability to remove the zoom in and zoom out feature while still being able to key bind the scroll wheel.

  • Two option key binds. (Example - Zoom in: page up, Zoom out: page down)

  • Ability to save specified character key binds.

Combat:

  • Deeply in need of an animation cancel. (These enemies hit too hard to have to wait for an animation to finish, especially considering the type of game this is which can display numerous hard hitting enemies on screen at the same time)

  • Add a channeling spell that regenerates all your willpower over 5 seconds. Changing this ability to add certain element/ailment procs with every skill point would be interesting as well. (Would need an animation cancel for this to work properly)

Core Game Changes:

  • Remove Toughness from the attribute menu entirely and have Health and All Resistance Score solely tied to armor. (I know I'm reaching here but I just find toughness to be an uninteresting attribute unless I want to build a tank, but in that case I'd rather have the passive skill tree improve my armor mitigation and health instead)

Thank you for your feedback :) There are a lot of improvements that can be brought to the UI and we plan to make a full revamp of it at some point, when all major features will be implemented in the game. There are also more details that we want to give to players to make theory-crafting easier.

More control options need to be added too, I'm taking notes on this one.

Animation cancel is planned, we can't implement it now with a hotfix because we would like to develop something that works on the long term. Providing a fix now would just be a risky patch with a chance to break everything, but that's one of our top priorities for the next Content Patch.

I can't provide an answer on the toughness suggestion you make, but I've shared your thought with our designers ;)
