Improving Wolcen

I feel quality of life is a good spot to put all my feedback. I'll begin with the warrior. This class should be renamed God. Honestly, I only felt threatened in the beginning of the game. After the prologue, not a single enemy threatened me. The combat is extremely fun, but this game is way too easy. Every attack destroys almost all enemies near me. The game needs a significant difficulty adjustment. Try playing Remnant: From the Ashes. Different kind of game, but when a ton of enemies surround you, you're probably dead. And that was kind of fun...the adrenaline and panic to stay alive while trying to cause some serious damage. That same balance of causing destruction and freaking out a bit is more fun than just walking around as God and one-shotting everything in sight. There should be a bit more tactics involved, especially with the bosses.

Next, I think Bladestorm looks too simple. Warpath is awesome. The ability and special effects of it are amazing. Most abilities look really cool. But bladestorm looks a bit bland. Maybe you can spice it up with some currents of energy and a lot more blood. To be honest, the Warrior has 3 kinds of bladestorms. The other new ability with the chain that hits all nearby enemies should probably go to the rogue/ranger class instead. Currently, I enjoy the hurling axes ability (forgot the name) but to me that was a bladestorm-like ability. I still prefer it over Bladestorm. I hope you can improve the quality of Bladestorm, mostly its animation.

Slight possible bug that I may have found...when I got the hurling axe ability to level 19 and level 20, both times the experience to level them up was very low. I easily leveled them up in town when selling abilities for power-up points. The experience to level up any other ability looked normal.

Suggesstion...when you reach the deeper part of the necropolis by means of that orange portal, I don't think there should be regular dead bodies to loot. Maybe loot skeletons instead. If that place is as old as the world itself and you reach such an ancient, hidden place under the world, I don't think there would be a hundred fresh bodies.

One last suggestion...spoiler alert. This probably will never be taken into consideration...but I think the female inquisitior Maeyrs (I probably butchered her name) should be the one to attack you at the end of Act I. Instead you find out she randomly died. Why and how? Instead, it makes perfect sense for her to be the fanatic to hunt you down and not listen to reason. I felt Edric was a bit out of character. Maybe by killing her, that would make Edric have more reason to come down so hard on you. This would probably cause the entire story to change, but I just feel this would be better characterization for Edric.

Overall, this is an awesome game with a very intriguing story. It surely puts Diablo 3 to shame. Blizzard seems to think Diablo 3 was their greatest gift but it was just a tragedy to me and a smack in the face to Diablo 1 & 2. Wolcen takes the hack and slash genre to another level. Clearly, the developers of Wolcen grabbed the best elements of Diablo's gameplay and applied it to Lords of Mayhem in a nuance way, bringing in an original story. I am looking forward to the rest of the story, even if the story of Edric is not altered.
