Some feedback on Animations and the game in general
Just finished my first run as far as it goes, with the ranged character (I guess Ranger?).
Overall really enjoyable to play, great job so far. I've had a good time, you're on the right track here.
Few things I'd really like to see changed:
1. Character attack animations - Bows look weird (why is there string, and no quiver?). Large melee weapons look a bit slow in their hit animation, they could be a bit more dynamic, and impactful. What I really really don't like, and what stopped me playing the mage, is that he has to use a staff, but every cast makes the staff vanish. It looks horrible and kills my immersion. PoE did the same, and I fucking hate it. It's similar for Warrior or Rogue abilities where you suddenly summon a different weapon, I feel it looks weird.
2. The "cut scenes" - I'm not sure if this is a stopgap thing at the moment, but looking at the cut scenes I feel like I'm looking at at game from around 2005. No offense, but with those animations, and that clunky polishing you won't compete with either PoE or Diablo.
3. Graphics - they're are pretty decent, but there's something missing. It definitely looks worse than the competitors, which is not a deal breaker. Just mentioning it.
4. Balancing - I've tried the warrior until lvl 12 or so, he feels about 10% as effective as the Rogue / Ranged / Knifey type.
5. Difficulty - The game as far as it goes right now is way too easy. It doesn't really feel like a challenge at the moment, especially with the Rogue.
6. The bottom UI bar is too large. It's very difficult to target enemies south of you, it always feels like you're missing some part of your screen...
