Yeah I felt something was off with the damage of the second part. I don't think it's intentional so let's enjoy it while it lasts...

Honestly, It's one of those things that may be unintentional but better the way it is. I would probably change it so that the HP / Shield lost is 50% instead of 15% and I think it could still be a good option.
The best part of this is the fact it fixes a lot of classic problems with the dodge mechanic in ARPGs.

The stuff like dodging a second part of damage is a 100% bug and will be fixed. Otherwise it's just plain stupid :D

I hope not. It's a pretty interesting mechanic in my opinion. In my experience, ARPGs want logical but not quite straight forward mechanics like this to increase build depth.
Increasing the penalty or possibly limiting the double dip to one type of defense (dodge, resistance, block) would be preferable. Dodge makes the most sense based on its location.

You get knockbacked twice while you have this node taken. There are so many bugs arround this node and so littlr foresight about the mechanical problems with it.

To explain for anyone that prefers to not watch through a video:
It's good because after all of our defenses are applied to the initial hit to calculate 40%, they are applied again to the second hit (which means the second hit double dips into all defenses). This means that the second hit of 60% can be an amount of damage that is actually much smaller than the first hit instead of that first hit's value multiplied by 1.5.
Dire junction is right next to two nodes that increase our maximum ailment stack count by 10, so if any build involves stacking ailments (which i hear is the META approach to Wolcen), that is 1 or 2 points well spent even if your build involves no force shield.
