necromancer/ summoner build.

As the title mentions, I like to roll a necromancer/summoner build, and people have told me to totally IGNORE wisdom and go for toughness, so ur summon's wont die. but like, what helps me deal more damage with the summons? like does ferocity increase the critical hit chance of my summons? does agility make my summons hit faster? what works on them, also. I am playing also with a toxic build, where my pets deal toxic damage, and I use plagueburst to melt down everything, but what would I need in order to deal more toxic damage. status ailment?

We don't even know for sure if minions inherit their master's stats.

It seems that summoners will receive some love in the next patch (according to their last message).
So my advise would be to wait for the changes, maybe we'll have more informations about how it works (like for example if minions inherit our stats etc..)

This is the current build I'm using.

https://wolcen-universe.com/builds/gjVnzg-necro-tank

So far I've only run a few expeditions with it but I've had full modifiers on and no issues. It's also the build I used to finish the story without any difficulty.

The build is super simple and doesn't require any special gear. I run a mix of rogue and sorc stuff because that's what I have, and I got lucky with a staff with 3 red gem slots so I added 3 toxic gems.

Essentially you pop Plagueburst, roll into a group of enemies, lay down Anomaly, and giggle as everything explodes. For longer fights I hold down the "force stop" key and auto attack with a staff while spamming the zombie skills to keep them attacking the boss. Anomaly is used to to suck mobs into one place because when an enemy dies inside Plagueburst, they drop a toxic cloud. Each individual cloud does its own damage, so when you get a giant group together, one thing dies and everything else vanishes in a puff of smoke.

This may not be a meta build, but it hasn't let me down and I rarely drop below 90% hp unless I stand right on top of a boss.

I can record some videos of the build in action, though I don't have anything ready right now.

As I've only recently started the endgame, I've only gone up to 52 or so, but I do it on full modifiers and the Untainted things as well. I'll record some footage and post later.

just cleared 104 with a melee/poison necro thing, gear not optimized at all, the only usable summons are the ones from livor mortis and parasite, cause they don't die, while the others get basically oneshot constantly, the main source of damage comes from plagueburst and its poison clouds, clear speed was abysmal though, going from 150 plus super fast with bleeding edge to this doesn't feel exactly great. It's probably more fun and close to what i want to play but the damage just isn't there at all. Getting spam of loads 5k-10k-20k dot ticks feels laughable when you're used to ticks that did half millions and more..
Used infinity blades and wrath of baap as fillers while standing in poison clouds with other stuff on cd

Edit: also, i hope they buff toxic emanations cause seeing its first stacks do 100-200-500 dmg is just sad.. it wouldn't become effective even if you could stack it forever and stood next to something for 10 hours.. i don't even know if it's affected by your stats/poison damage, i hope it is and i hope to see it get to at least 50-100 plus k per tick FAST at some point but for some reason i dobut it lol

Edit2: noticed that when you got the talent that makes dot a critical hit if the first hit was a critical hit is kinda broken and can work against you: if you apply a dot type and it doesn't crit, then it will NEVER crit. Just tested it now, was next to two champions for a couple mins, one would get toxic emanation ticks for 10k (crits), the other only 5k because the former had a crit from the very first tick while the latter didn't. That's really really bad. That talent should make ti so dots can crit and once they do - no matter at which point - then all the subsequent ticks will crit. The fuck is someone supposed to do otherwise? fall back, wait, and reapply dots from scratch every time hoping the first tick crit? that's awful.

Edit3: ended up completely dropping summons and just going for ailments/poison melee/mage build.. went up 30 levels instantly... summons don't seem to be doing much at all

Did you take the nodes that reduce damage take by summons? If not then yeah, they die instantly. That's the biggest problem I ran into before, but after taking them my summons never die.
