In my eyes Wolcen is still in beta, I've already payed for the game 3 years ago, so it's not a big difference for me anyways :D You expect drastic changes through beta but you post builds anyways because why not? If it gets nerfed/killed then you can always come up with a new build.
Every online game has FotM (flavor of the month) builds which usually last only for a couple of weeks before they get nerfed but they are fun to play even for a short time. Bleeding Edge was ridiculously overpowered with ailment stacking, anyone with a little bit of common sense played Bleeding Edge knowing it will get nerfed rather sooner than later. I consider the Bleeding Edge nerf a bugfix because most of the insane damage was due to 2 typos (adding 50 damage per block chance instead of 0.5 and adding 20% damage per ailment stack instead of 2). These were obviously typos because there are other nodes and skills which had the right amount. (Adding a cooldown part to BE was not necessary on the other hand in my opinion)
You're right, most likely The Trial will get nerfed as well because it's basically a mandatory item. Some say it should be limited to dagger users but there's no real drawback if you use daggers, you can build even a pure caster using dagger and catalyst. The most straightforward nerf would be that it applies a base mark and whatever modifiers you have on your mark skill wouldn't get applied because the modifiers cause the bigger part of the problem. Anyways, I wouldn't pay a fortune for it now.
These kinds of overtunes and the inevitable nerfs are part of every online games with stats. I've been playing onine RPG games for more than 20 years now and I can't count how many builds I've used got nerfed to the ground in every single game I played. It's part of the genre.
