I tried him for like 3h today ... bugged out on either phase 2 or 3 ... fight itself seems the most easy of all acts ... but the bug keeps me from ending :)

same bug once his second shield goes down main he freezes and becomes immune to everything usually on phase 3 but now it happens on phase 2 as well

unfortunatly i have the sam issue with my mage...
Phase 2 and Hemlock freezes...

Any ideas? First i thought it was because of poisen dots, but without Hemlock freezes as well...

Hi There!

I think I found some sort of cheesy workaround for the Boss in Act 3.
Phase 1 is completely normal. Just hit him with everything you have.
As soon as the Boss goes to Phase 2, DO NOT go all out on him while he is in his "normal" form.
I think the bug happens when you "stagger" him in his normal form (Red shield thing above) shortly before he's about to turn ascended again.
I avoided staggering him in Phase 2 and successfully managed to get to Phase 3 with this technique.
I know this prolongs the fight but I think it's better than resetting every single time he acts like a stupid NPC.

Sidenote:
You don't have to quit the game to reset the fight. That round thing on the bottom right corner can be damaged and spawns adds after hitting it hard enough. Just get killed by these adds and you can start again. This way your Primordial Essence is also conserved.

Devs please patch this so I can beat this act.... tried 12 times, tried running around not staggering him but with my build it happens every time.

Not using aether damage did it for me too. Switched from Infinity Blades/Anomaly to Consuming Embers and took out any Items/skills that used aether! (tried it with aether damage about 40 times; also reinstalling game and so on....)

Try hitting him with melee when he gets stuck. it seemed like we could break him out of it and progress.

I believe this to work, Took out all my aether dmg and even without being too careful about not hitting the boss while transforming I finally managed to beat him! (He did not bug out)

I can confirm removing all Aether worked for me. No other tricks. Looks like Ailment stun from aether is bugging him.
