Help with crafting please

So I have a gold ring with the following:

+lightning dmg # to attacks
+toxic % dmg
+material % dmg
+all res %

I would prefer to roll off t he lightning dmg, but wouldn't mind the all resist coming off either... but I would WANT to definitely keep the toxic and material damage on this, if possible.

How would I go about doing that?

If I put in an emerald gem, and use Entropy orb, does that guarantee keeping both the toxic and material damage, and rolling off something else? Or does it just guarantee keeping ONE of the toxic or material damage rolls, since I can only put one gem in at a time on rings?

Would love some clarification, or a link to a good write-up or video on crafting. It can be a little confusing at times, for me anyway. I love the toxic and material rolls I got on this ring though, and wanted to clarify before trying to craft it.

Thanks!

Hmm. Very cool website. It is a ring I am crafting (Gold ring) but I don't see everything listed on that site... like Material damage, and lightning damage on attacks. Maybe I am just blind? Dunno.

I see Damage % of Physical, toxic, rend... but no Material, etc.

I see Lightning damage on spells, but not attacks.

The website still a work in progress maybe?

Either way, thanks for the response. I see you replying to a lot of threads on here which is nice besty. Not a lot of activity on the forums right now I suppose.

try to use toxic gems and remove one stat, however it won't give u a 100% chance to keep what u want, it increases the probability

The best site that i know of for referencing crafting in Wolcen is:
https://wolcendb.erosson.org/

It datamines the game to show all possible crafting results, tiers of affixes possible at item levels, and precise values for the chance of each affix being crafted.
Affixes that do not have a gem labeled next to them means that there is no gem to increase the chance of crafting/saving that affix. To gain those affixes, you must not socket any gems and hope for some luck.

Yeah, I'll try that.

I didn't even know Toxic and Material could both roll on a ring at the same time... not sure if it's because it's a Gold Ring or not? I know they were a little special. Would love to get +ailment. Haha, will probably just mess up the ring... if it goes well I'll screenshot it. :D

That website you linked seems great, if it get's updated more.

Oh, thanks! I think I saw you link this in some other thread, and I forgot to bookmark it and couldn't find it with a search.

Saved it this time. Thanks!

One other question if you guys know....

When I put the emerald in the ring, does it matter at all if it's on support 1, 2, or 3? I am ASSUMING only the gem type matters, not the # slot it's currently in.

No, the type or number ( I, II, III) of the socket has no effect on the results produced. What does matter is making sure that all sockets are filled. If you have an item that has two sockets, socket a gem into one socket but leave the other socket empty, and then use a crafting consumable on the item, the gem will always be consumed but there will be a 50% chance of the empty socket being selected as the consumable's influencer. That means the gem gets wasted and the crafting result will be fully random, the same as if both sockets were empty. So if your crafting an item, reroll the sockets until the item has only one socket, unless that item has a rare and valuable combination of sockets, such as 3 offense I's on an attack weapon or 3 offense II's on a staff.
