Once you get phase 2 to around 20%, and the mobs pile up, use your apocalyptic form. I had the same problem and this worked for me.

This game is broke when it comes to the bosses.

If my build can EASILY get me to the boss, that same build should be adequate to beat the boss.

I'm not asking for easy boss fights but these bosses are ridiculous and keeps me from recommending the game to anyone.

And the best part is going through the dialog for the umpteenth time because you can only skip over cutscenes and not scripted dialog.

I managed to kill Lambach on Normal Mode with a pretty basic two handed melee build (weapon at this time was arround 130-160dmg). Had to try 4-5 times but imo the most important thing is to get the movement done right and try to keep your ultimate form for the second part. Make sure to destroy the cocoons in phase 1 right in time and don´t die until phase 2. Good luck
