Archery is a Nightmare

I was initially going to create a post singling out every enemy who's hitbox was being funny - every so often i fire an arrow and the audio cue of hitting a target runs, but no damage is dealt - but 100% of enemy types has been giving me issues. Smaller enemies are awful, i only hit maybe 1/3 of the shots i fire, but even against human size and larger enemies i whiff about 1/10 of the arrows i fire. Furthermore, I had some issues with the necromancers not taking any damage at all from Deathgazer Railgun, but inconsistently. They would take no damage from one shot and ignore the Incendiary Rounds DoT, and then take damage from a second shot, fired from the same position.

Came here to see if someone already posted this. I'd say it's even more egregious than how op is describing it. The problem really started to notice for me when i entered Act III, which incidentally coincided with the most recent patch - maybe something broke? At first I thought it had something to do with different elevation levels between the player character and the enemies, but the issue persists when standing right in front of them.

Just did a prolonged fight around the gates of fury where I barely hit anything with auto attacks. AoE abilities still work, but they are not much use when you're unable to generate rage thorugh auto attacks...

By the way, f-ing tell me that I need to have a Steam account linked to post before I press submit and the whole post is getting deleted!

Same here - bows and pistols don't make damage... I can shot 20 times on an enemy - outline on the target is ok. Impact animation is ok. Sound effect ok. - but the enemy doesn't suffer damage, and doesn't show its damage-animation.
This is occuring since the last patch, in the Act III.
Temporarily i've changed to swords and daggers, but until when? Next week's next patch??? What do i do until then??? The general mobs can be killed with any weapon, so no problem, but bosses and the main boss of Act III can't be killed with melee weapons with a ranger build char.
2 weeks from launch now, and i trusted that every week's patch will repair the game's errors, not to make new ones... I'm disappointed.

Ok, I did some more testing and I think the bug is somewhat location specific. I went back to the "Vault of Truth's Dawngate" waypoint and tested it in the two wings. There the bug is still present but does not seem to trigger as often. However, from the "Red Wastes" onward it is really atrocious. I switched to a character that is still in Act II, the issue does indeed not seem to occur there at all.

For a time I thought that the game might only be registering critical hits but I don't think that is it, either. Sometimes normal hits do seem to register, although I'm not quite sure if that is only true for arrows that have bounced (via the "Wintry Hail" passive). And even if only crits were registering my hit rate seems way too low considering I have over 30% crit chance (although I did not rigorously test this, so not able to provide confidence intervals).

Just for the note: This issue has been solved for weeks now - at least i haven't had this problem with the projectiles. So its OK for now!
