I was playing the game yesterday and everything was running smoothly. When I tried to play the game online, I have come across the same black screen of death. I read some fourms and the only fix was installing a VPN and connecting to another country's server. This is something that I am unwilling to do for a game that I had just purchased yesterday. I am very happy to know that I am also not the only person that is having this problem. Things I have done to try and solve it:
Uninstall/Reinstall
Fullscreen
Windowed Fullscreen
Different Resolution changes
Run in administrative mode
Auto-server/Lowest Latency sever/Closest server
Checking file integrity though steam
Restarting Pc
All this has not fixed the problem. If you come across one, please let me know.

I tried the same thing but nothing works. I removed the firewall etc but nothing changes.

I am curious if they will allow a refund for the people who have purchased the game but don't have all the access to the game. Playing with other people is fun, but I don't just want a single player game. The purchase did include multi-player which we are being denied.

Still no response from support. And I am not seen of people with this problem succeeding in the resource.

I'm not sure if this helps the OP but I found that using something like peerblock was preventing the connection and I would end up at a black screen when loading a game - the menus worked fine before starting the actual gameplay. Oddly it worked when I ran the game in windowed mode. (that could have been pure luck hitting a non-blocked IP or something)

I'm sure this logic could apply to things like antivirus, firewalls or your ISP being a total shitlord. I'm not sure if this advice applies to your situation, but figured I'd at least let this thread know how I fixed my similar black screen issue today. An actual error would have been nice like "Error: can't reach servers you dick"
