If you recall the hammers a little too late, like right when they are supposed to disappear, you are stuck in the recall animation forever unless you die or quit game.

Yep, encountered the same issue. I've open 2 ticket (pre-Bloodtrail and during Bloodtrail) for this with support and with video. I won't play unless this get fixed.
