The error message sometimes reads: Memory allocation for 556416 bytes failed

Needless to say I don't experience any issues like this with any of the graphic intensive games I play.

I have the same error. 7700 HQ, both overclocked to 3.4 GHZ and stock 2.8 GHZ. 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 8 GB. I get memory allocation errors (CryEngine error window) which have BSOD my computer once. Prior to the update I was able to play fine.

This includes both online and local modes. Really want to test the new patch!

I also experience crashes - at the very first cutscene.

In fullscreen it's just black screen, "hold space to skip .. " text (doesn't work btw) and sound, have to shut game process via task manager.

In windowed fullscreen it's all the same but i can't even switch to any other window, no key-combo works, have to hard-reset my pc.

In windowed mode with smaller resolution it's black screen for a second and then game just closes without any error. Once i managed to get an error - pasted the log.

Tried to change graphics settings, window mode, disable everything - no result. BTW Vignetting doesn't want to be disabled and is On every time i start the game.

Was checking the ram usage while running the game - it was never higher than 7.6GB overall in my system, no idea where this 13644.9MB came from.

My pc:

i5 4430

gtx 1060 6gb

16gb ram

Hope it helps you to localize the problem, right now it is impossible for me to play the game.
