So after testing if two people are under the same network and want to play in a private game together one person has to use a VPN (there is probably a different fix could be setup in my gateway but this is a quick and dirty fix for me to be able to test this) in order to be able to play otherwise the host will be stuck on a black screen and will have to force close in order to be able to do anything in-game.
