Joining a friend's group caused me to skip an Act
My character's progress was the middle of Act 2.
Joined a friend's group who was in the middle of Act 3. When I left group, I had permanently moved to Act 3, having skipped the remainder of Act 2.
There appears to be no way to go back to my actual progress.
