Masochistic Effigy which gives double force shield but your hp cannot exceeds %5 of max force shield is working oddly with some passives. The passives such as Resilience to Corruption,Faith Leech and Fatal Pact have odd connections with it. For example if you have Faith leech with it, whenever you get life leech to your shield and when shield is full, shield rolls over back to 0 so because of that if your character is middle of fire you basically die.
And if you have Fatal Pact and Resilience to Corruption with it, whenever you put ailment damage on you and if shield goes down after some certain point, any damage comes from anywhere to you starts to hurt your hp and stops dealing dmg to your force shield even if your force shield is not 0 at that point. I probably didnt explain it correctly but you gotta try and see what i mean.

Edit: It turns out the 2nd bug i listed here only happens in online mode. I have wizard with same lvl and same build with almost same damage in offline mode, so the damage to hp before force shield thing only happens in online mode.
