After beating Edric my mini map had no information on it besides and indicator for where my character was, and where the town portal was (in town.) Nothing else was on it. Then I exited the game and re-entered and it was fixed, but it hadn't saved the fact that I had defeated Edric. I fought him again and this time everything was fine.
