AMD FX Chips are constantly freezing, I think.

Any plan to fix this? My brother is using a FX-8350 with a 980ti and he's getting constant freezes for 30seconds to a minute.

I'm seriously looking into building him a new computer because he really wants to play this game.

I as well have an FX-8350 and I am experiencing 30 seconds to 1 minute freezes, but I don't think that the CPU is the problem since Intel users have similar problems.

I have noticed 100% disk usage in task manager and resource monitor when the game freezes.

I have tried playing the game on two computers both with fx processors. FX 8150 and FX 8370. Both max out disk usage. I moved it to an SSD and it still goes to 100% usage and freezes.

Same thing is happening to me. Constant freezes every 5-10 minutes that last for 45 seconds. This is blocking any progress in online mode, as this hangup is long enough to boot you back to the main menu.

Also have an AMD FX CPU. My computer is capable of running everything at the highest settings perfectly fine, except for these random freezes. Very frustrating.

Possible fix! I was part of the FX 8350 C: drive goes to 100% freeze group. I first tried manually increasing page file size, as constant heavy transfer to and from drive might mean overuse of Virtual memory - auto had it at 3GB, I set to up to 64gb. No improvement but worth a try maybe.
What DID seem to fix it was moving the game from C: to another drive, to get it away from system stuff and page files. Steam allows you to do it internally rather than uninstall and reinstall, buried in Properties bit in steam.
WHen I have time I shall try moving page files to another drive to stop hammering C: on principle, and prob reduce size a bit.

Good Luck! (I'm trying to add this to some of these FX chips freeze threads - pls spread these ideas if it works for you too!)
