I am able to launch game and see my character , one i hit play i get a black screen and it just sits there and I see nothing.
I have tried running as admin and no changes.
I do not get this issue playing in offline mode.

yeah i just started having the same issue today once i select to play a char in online mode it will show the Wolcen logo and then just black. no audio, just the cursor. nothing to click on

I had this issue. I fixed it by going to the settings on the character select screen, going to the network settings tab, and changing my region to Europe (I live in the US).
My guess is that something is causing game sessions on a specific game server to have trouble loading but going to a new game servers recreates the session.
