DXGI_Error_Device_Hung

What the hell is this and what do I do to fix it? I have never come across this before. I also am not seeing anyone with this issue. It keeps crashing on me about five to ten minutes in to playing the game. I've made it to the starting city in offline mode and can't even get that far in online mode.

This error is horrible for me as well. It has occurred for me during online story mode as well as in doing expeditions. It happens while fighting monsters, but also while just idle in town.

PC specs: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master motherboard, Ryzen 9 3900x cpu cooled with a NZXT KrakenX72 AIO, 32gb Trident Z 3600 ram, 2 NVME SSD's, Evga RTX 2070 Super gpu, LG 34gk950f ultrawide monitor, Windows 10 Pro, and Verizon FIOS gigabit ISP service.

I was running my gpu with updated drivers OC'd in MSI Afterburner with the max power limit raised, +100 core and +400 memory bus with very good temperatures and no issues in any other games. Tried putting back to stock to eliminate as a variable to no luck. Was running my resolution at my monitors native 3440 x 1440 resolution at 120 HZ with vsync (and high graphics settings) via display port 1.4 cable. It ran very smooth and normally near the max fps, but still crashed often with the CryEngine error in your thread title. For shits and giggles, tried turning off vsync as well as dialing down my graphics settings to medium and also setting the frame rate cap to just 90 fps. Same issues...

Super frustrating trying to advance in expeditions when the fucking game keeps locking up chronically. Sometimes I get lucky and get up to a half hour of stability if the Wolcen Gremlins are very generous, but more times than not it is less than half of that before I hear that all too familiar ding and then see the screen freeze. I feel confident enough in my tech skills to troubleshoot most issues that can be resolved with troubleshooting with enough brute force trial and error, but this is beginning to stump me (and annoy the living hell out of me!).

We need a dev to step in and acknowledge this issue and at the very least give us some insight and shit to try!
