Same error here, havent been able to play since "launch day" the past thursday....

I guess I'll follow this post since it's fresh enough, as I have the same issue.

i havent been able to make a game online since release, its now been 2 days since i have been able to sign in online, but game hangs and errors on game creation

Checking game version": We're working on the impossibility to connect a character after using the projects related to item improvements. We can't resolve this issue without a hotfix but this is now one of our top priorities and we hope to resolve it this week.
