Game locks up consistently in Smuggler's Path

It's locked up so far four times for me in Smuggler's Path, to the point where I can't even ALT-TAB out of the game screen. I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE and then select "Sign out" and this usually works, then I can relaunch the game for a few minutes before it crashes there again. It's almost always when I'm using "Thunderstrike" and it happens regardless of whether I have any minions or not.

More specifically, it happens in Smuggler's Path whenever I use Parasite to tame a beta creature (the one that spawns others). When I didn't do it this time, it worked fine.

Also stuck in Smuggler's path now, game keeps freezing on me. Mouse still moves, music still plays, but everything else is non-responsive

I went trough when I tick fps cap 90 in settings. But affraid using thunderstrike skill.
