Vsync on should solve that problem, atleast does for me. Now im at 60-70 degrees compared to throttle 85+

I tried with Vsync on or off. With all extra settings off and with all graphics settings to LOW. Still, in max 5 minutes since I start the game, the ROG gaming center tells me my CPU and GPU went past 80 degrees and shuts down.
This game is not optimized. I have a 1800$ gaming laptop and I can play almost any other game with high graphic settings without the laptop going past 80 degrees.
It's a shame. This game really had potential. Going back to POE and D3.

Newly build rig here with Radeo 5700XT. When going 144fps the GPU goes 95-100 and game crash (black screen) and restart computer.
AMD Driver is 20.1.3. Have tested older driver from 1.9x to the newest 20.2.x still crashes.
Putting game at FPS limit 60 to 90 worked better . temp was then 55-75 celsius.
Installed my old Nividia geforece 1070GTX in same Computer, Worked fine and no crash at all (played like 1 hour) on Radeo it came ever 5 min or so when using 144fps.

So i guess better code for some graphics card. Playing offline mode.

thanks for replies but im playing with VSYNC ON :) and still got that insane GPU Usage, latest nvidia drivers, windows , and Ryzen Chipset etc, still ... maybe i should play another game .. atm till optimized

Hey guys, also had this issue, I've just created a separate profile in MSI Afterburner for this game specifically - I've set my 2080ti to run at just over 1350mhz (it's core clock speed) constantly, with a fan curve that sees the fans running at 100% when temps go to 50°. So far so good! Not reaching 84° within 5 minutes like it used to.

Game is running at around 130fps and temps are not going over 70°.
