For me this only happens in multi-player mode.

Respond if you're having similar issues and what you have tried to test in addition.

What has Not fixed it:
1. using a different network to connect (cellular vs hardwired fiber)
2. creating and playing a new character
3. playing from a different computer (laptop with very different hardware)
4. reinstalling the game (multiple times and to multiple locations)

Theory is that the issue is somehow linked to the player's account, however that may work.
