The client to play online say there is a new update available and need to restart the game, but when I exit and fire up Steam again, there is no update... What the heck is going on? Am I the only one with this problem?

You are not. Same thing is happening to me right now as well. I even verified integrity of the game with no luck. Maybe it's time to think about making an offline character sad trombone
