No Forum Search function?
has it been removed, has it never been there,
or am I just blind tonight - because I just can't find it .

You are right, there is none at the moment, we are aware that it is not very ergonomic right now, sorry about that.
However, we plan on vastly improving the forum, this includes more features such as a search function.

I wondered why there was no search filter as well. Read the forum rules and it is pretty hard not create duplicate threads on the same topic.
