I use it with Infinity Blades in my Stasis Build. The fact Infinity Blades also gives Aether or Shadow damage to it and it gives it Leech in return later on makes it an amazing combo. It also has a pretty cool look if you press them both at the same time. You shouldn't do it like that, but it looks really cool.

The only downside is Spells get a LOT of power out of flat damage that Staves bring compared to a Catalyst. Staff rolls on flat added damage to spells is 3-5 times higher than a Catalyst, so unless you're burning through Willpower or you use a skill like Infinity Blades that also ADDS damage to your skills, or you're doing a Sacred Damage build where Wrath fits in perfectly, it's best to stick to the Staff and keep around 10% Attack Speed to recover Willpower.

In my build I have a Staff (which should be based on spell damage, not a phys, because You fire a MAGIC projestal, not hitting with it), I'm using Infinity blades with willpower leech on crit and kill + Anomaly to gather everything together + Tear of Etheliel with DoT rune, Aether jump with attack and cast speed, and movement speed, + Bulwark of Dawn for some dmg and life/force shield regen.
I went with full ferrocety and i rarely runing out of will power .
A combo anomaly + tear followed by aeter junp in to a pack and smack them with infinity blades, after mobs are dead i have almost full willpower
