Improve/rework crafting system please!

Lets be honest. Currently it does not work as intended and general idea behind this whole crafting system is kind of below avarage.
You need gems to lose or gain certain attributes you wish or dont wish to have, which i have to admit dont work correctly half the time and there is really no good info what you may or may not get when executing said action.
Also, there is no way to improve your odds with half the gear pieces you have, like 2x shoulders 2x gloves and boots. It is completely random rerolling with those items and since there are alot of attributes you can get and its all random, odds of you getting what you need are close to 0.
My idea (and im certain other people had identical idea to mine) is to add a vendor who does re-rolling stats for you. You insert the item you want to re-roll and a gem or ''insert any other crafting material'', you chose what stat you would like to re-roll, you would get tooltip saying what you might get and how much it will cost you to do so, gold, reagents, gems etc.
Vendor window would look like this: 3 socets for gems, socket for item in question for rerolling, socket for reagent and a tooltip window telling you what you roll and/or lock down with a gem. Also you might want to increase drop rates for gems as it will consume alot of them for min/maxing your gear.
It would be simple and straight forward to understand for everybody and there would still be a roll of the dice and luck in play, just not at the current scale where its close to 0.

Hi LeDogg,

Thank you for your feedback.
A crafting UI is indeed planned, we are aware that crafting right now might feel unintuitive and clunky. However, getting perfect stats on an item is and will remain a very hard task to achieve.

until we implement this UI, you can use which is rather detailed regarding Affixes. :)

My idea pretty much leaves the chances more or less to what they are right now (excluding various bugs which makes you get wrong stats).
What it does is add all the info (website you directed me to go to) into the crafting UI system so you don't have to go search half an hour every time you want to take a step and re-roll something.
Imagine the UI where you insert an item, up to 3 gems and crafting reagent and it tells you of the results you may expect. Which stats are potentially being removed or added based on gem(s) you put in. It is kind of required for items that can't be socketed currently in my opinion.
Have to be honest, I'm not too happy about the entire system of using materials that are way too rare to get and outcome of using them is less than desirable most of the time but, with that simple UI you could potentially even leave it as it is. The goal is to make it simple and understandable for everyone.

Hello, my question / concern is if & when you will bring back the ability to change uniques into legendaries. I finally get to that point in the game only to find out that you've removed it altogether which means that I have wasted my space & time finding items that could help my character only to have them sit in storage until I hopefully find something close to what I need that allows me to craft with it, because lets be honest the crafting in this is almost as stressful as the 1 hit mobs that seem to be able to kill you no matter how much health or defense you have. Why choose to remove that aspect of the game? was it a balancing issue because if that were the case then the whole crafting aspect needs to be redone......Admittedly the bulk of my disappointment comes from not being able to finally see / use some of the uniques i have come across in action (once converted). Honestly if I wanted this type of frustration I would've stuck with POE.
