Daggers vs All Other One-Handers and Uniques Feedback

Seems to me that daggers do more top end damage than all other one-handers. I also find it strange that level 15 daggers/catalysts are better than other level 40 items. To me this seems a bit on the broken side. Either the uniques are too powerful, or the other items are not scaling as well as they should. I'd really like to use a sword, but the damage is far inferior. I am using an Edict 2.1.4.1.7 (level 15 version) and it has more top end damage than even other unique swords at the same level. 7th Purifiers' Legion Archive is likely the most powerful catalyst (lv 15) in the game so far. I still us it on my level 62 character because of the sheer damage output.

Random items are as the name tells you random. Some unique items are indeed very strong! I used the edict unique too for a while but its absolutely luck how good a rare weapon can be.

I get that, but the main issue I have is the fact that daggers are out damaging other one handed (even two-handed) weapons. They are supposed to be fast for sure, but they aren't supposed to hit like a truck. Unique items, I expect to be more powerful, but to use a level 15 item at level 62 seems a bit much.

Guns do, daggers are fine imo.

Very true... guns do.

But guns seem to always be more powerful than bows. I have always felt that one handers shouldn't do more max damage than 2 handers.
