Item level progression

Hello everybody,

First, I want to say that I enjoy the game so far, and despite some clunkiness and maybe a lack of originality and novelty in terms of gameplay, it is certainly a good game. The update corrected a lot of the flaws it used to have.

I think so far what concerns me most is a diablo III release like impression in terms of the randomness of the affixes. It is certainly not as bad, but I find myself looting items level 30 and above that are worse than level 22 items with the same quality (comparing yellows to yellows, purples to purples...)
As far as yellows, which are very common, I can understand the need to the randomness, but red and purple objects are so rare that looting one 5 levels after the previous one and finding it's just objectively worse (all the same stat affixes but lower numbers) feels like, well, shit.

Maybe not everybody feels like this and I'm just a lazy ass player who doesn't want to grind. But I feel like more consistency as far as item level and item increase are concerned would go a long way for the enjoyment of the game overall.

There will be even more affixes at the release of the game to allow different possibilities that are not yet available such as melee weapons with spell damage on them.

Since this is a classless game, there won't be a system focusing on what you're currently playing to make the loot appropriate for your spec. That's why other features will allow you to refine items, such as crafting.
